Redirect Loops

One of the most common questions we get is about servers (websites) that have completed the ss-install process but are seeing redirect loop error messages in the browser on the frontend. This is nearly always caused by the CloudFlare “SSL” tab settings being set to “flexible SSL” instead of “full SSL”. The issue is that SlickStack is HTTPS-only (with HSTS headers too) but the “flexible SSL” feature on CloudFlare attempts to load your website over both HTTP and HTTPS protocols, which of course does not work on SlickStack servers for security reasons.

Simply change your CloudFlare settings to “Full SSL” and refresh your homepage on the SlickStack server and this issue should disappear.
