My client is a journalism website who writes about crimes around the world but especially involving certain European citizens who travel abroad in order to do organized crime.
Vultr sent me a random email last week, forwarding their request to “delete” the reporting on the site. I asked them if the request was automated or if they were seriously asking me to censor the journalism of my client.
They never responded, and this week the server is totally disabled. Absolutely f*****g unbelievable, they are now saying they will be deleting the server in 48 hours without any human jumping on the ticket and responding to my questions. Another American web hosting cloud gone to s**t because of corrupt Eurocrat regulations.
F**K YOU VULTR
January 3, 2025 at 9:57 am #27240BruceGuestVultr went to s**t a few years ago already. Demanding driver’s license, passport, suspending accounts without any notification. Sad but predictable.
My vultr account suddenly got suspended, no warning received.

January 3, 2025 at 10:05 am #27245MichelleGuestVultr sent me a random email last week
what does it say?
January 3, 2025 at 10:11 am #27246DonaldGuest1. Vultr forwards me a letter from some Eurofag lawyers asking to delete blog posts
2. I respond with “Hello, what response do you wish to hear from me? This website is for my
client, they are a well known journalist REDACTED and it falls
under fair use… this is a fraudulent complaint by a known criminal.”3. Vultr auto-responds and tells the Eurofag lawyer to provide more info, and then forwards me again the same f*****g letter from the Eurofag lawyers when they respond
4. Vultr follows up saying “Please review the additional responses/information from this reporter. Please be sure to provide a response within 48 hours, to prevent instance suspension.”
5. I respond back “I’m an American. Vultr is American. What’s this GDPR crap? Nothing to do with me. Why is this ticket still open?…”
A few days later, after no response from Vultr, the server gets disabled:
Hello,
Please review all information presented in the report.
Reviewing and responding to reports is your responsibility as the subscriber.
This ticket pertains to the removal of the reported article(s).

January 3, 2025 at 10:13 am #27247GeorgeGuest6. I respond back, cursing out Vultr, and asking them for clarification if they are really censoring my client’s website for accurate journalism. They ignore it again.
7. I open a new ticket, tag the proper server in question, and curse them out again and demand an explanation. A human agent says “Our TOS department will review and reply…”
Currently waiting. Server down for a few days already.
January 3, 2025 at 10:14 am #27248ArthurGuestApparently cursing them out activated the human?
January 3, 2025 at 10:15 am #27249NoahGuestThis paper was from 2023 on GDPR being abused by corrupt assholes, this has been obvious for a decade already, yet the elites want to keep it… ask yourself why.

January 3, 2025 at 8:51 pm #27253JoshuaGuest8. A human finally replied from Vultr on the “suspension” ticket and said only:

We have made no demands, only that every message of reports be fully reviewed and responded to in-depth by our subscribers. If your decision had been to refute the report, we’d have forwarded your response to the reporter.

January 3, 2025 at 8:52 pm #27254NathanGuest9. VULTR IS GOING TO TERMINATE THE ENTIRE ACCOUNT BECAUSE I DIDN’T RESPOND TO THE FAKE GDPR COMPLAINT WITH ENOUGH DETAILS BUT THEY WON’T TELL ME WHAT DETAILS THEY WANTED.
WHAT IN THE F**K HAPPENED TO THIS COMPANY!!!!!
January 3, 2025 at 8:55 pm #27255BenjaminGuestDid they quietly go Ramnode on us and start enforcing the GDPR world-wide or what? Or is this a case of some dumb-f**k German being assigned that abuse ticket?
January 3, 2025 at 8:58 pm #27256JoseGuestOr is this a case of some dumb-f**k German being assigned that abuse ticket
quite possible. tone of voice sounds young and unprofessional too.
January 3, 2025 at 10:36 pm #27259TeresaGuestYou are not the first:
VULTR accepted a report from a criminal and took my server offline!
byu/Bharrabhaz inwebhostingJanuary 3, 2025 at 11:19 pm #27258GraceGuestAlways. Have. Remote. Backups…
January 4, 2025 at 8:42 am #27263JordanGuest10. Finally, after hours of waiting, a senior Vultr employee responded:
Dear REDACTED,
Your account was escalated to me for review today, we have determined that the termination notice was issued in error. Your account will not be terminated, and you may continue using our services without any further interruptions.
My name is REDACTED, I lead the TOS/Abuse department. I tried to reach you via the phone number on file (REDACTED). Please let me know if you’d like to discuss this issue further. I’m available tonight, this weekend, or at any time next week to connect.
We sincerely apologize for your negative experience and fully understand if you decide to transition to another hosting provider. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if there’s anything else I can assist you with.
Kind regards, REDACTED
January 4, 2025 at 10:56 am #27264AmberGuest“sorry for bombing your web hosting business and reputation because of our retarded DEI hires who Google’d your name and didn’t like your political views and shut off your servers based on a fraudulent GDPR complaint sent to us by a known criminal, but please don’t sue us for breach of contract and discrimination heheh kkk bye”
January 4, 2025 at 11:04 am #27265January 6, 2025 at 11:30 am #27276JoanGuestFML airplanes are literally falling out of the sky because of DEI hires
imagine working at a tech company like this and having to deal with the low IQ gheys running management while you’re debugging Python scripts
January 6, 2025 at 11:33 am #27277LawrenceGuestGuess who doesn’t make these mistakes? Large corporate clouds like AWS and Microsoft and Google.
