coming from easyengine
what is different from slickstack ss restart command and easyengine? do they both restart nginx or only the CLI daemon
For restarting Nginx in EasyEngine I think it’s this:
ee service restart nginx-proxy
https://community.easyengine.io/t/how-to-restart-services-like-nginx-or-mysql-in-ee-v4/11488
right? that’s for the Nginx service, similar to:
sudo service nginx restart
Not sure if the EE command is just alias for this Linux command, but probably.
@OP
SlickStack doesn’t have any daemon, only cron jobs
ss restart nginx is the same as sudo service nginx restart
if you type only ss restart it will restart all the various modules of your LEMP stack including Nginx, PHP-FPM, MySQL, Memcached, etc
