Matt Mullenweg’s latest royal stab in the back, he has apparently agreed to sell user data from Tumblr.com and possibly other WordPress related services too. Insane

GuestMullenweg is the biggest douchebag, the most spineless “leader”, and the most pathetic loser in the modern web development scene. Just fumble after fumble. No fresh ideas, no innovation, no ability to lead, no clear morals or values. Just a follower. Always a follower.
“hey look guys” he squeaks at the Automattic Zoom meeting, “we can copy what Reddit is doing! maybe one day, Automattic can IPO!”

GuestThis is very disturbing if true.

It was leaked to 404 Media, most likely by Automattic employees who were pissed off. This might be a watershed moment, as historically Matt’s gang of beta-male soyjacks have never crossed him, but recent events might have finally changed that

Guestin the words of the Lifehacker article “It might be time to retire those old blogs, people.”

GuestYes they did. You have to manually opt-out on Tumblr.com settings if you want:
