fail2ban error when I run sudo service fail2ban status any ideas?
Ubuntu 24.04
is there some ipv6 setting missing from jail.local template
https://github.com/littlebizzy/slickstack/blob/master/modules/fail2ban/jail-local.txt
No… allowipv6 is not correct options for jail.local file
It sounds like a temporary bug:
https://github.com/fail2ban/fail2ban/discussions/3699
Just add it to local configuration fail2ban.local (emphasis on .local not .conf):
[DEFAULT]
allowipv6 = auto
@sebres says on GitHub next Fail2ban version will suppress these warnings. So I think we can just ignore it for now unless you want to patch like above…
