GuestHi folks,
Are there any SEO plugins that are worth using?
Presumably SEO plugins are intended to add additional (and useful / important) SEO features that WordPress doesn’t have by default.
With Yoast SEO, Rank Math, and AIO all being bloated, corrupt, spyware, etc., what’s a recommended SEO plugin?
This is for an e-commerce (WooC) site.
I saw this comment in the forums, “Use SEOPress, Slim SEO, or SEO Framework if you want a good quality SEO plugin released by good honest guys.” But “good honest guys” didn’t say enough in terms of the merits of the actual plugins. Would be grateful to see some elaboration on 1. is an SEO plugin even necessary for an e-commerce site; and, 2. What’s one that Slickstack recommends as not being total crap?
Thanks,
Jonathan

Guesthey Jonathan many of us don’t even use SEO plugins, they are fairly pointless except for changing the titles of your posts if you don’t already have good titles (the solution here is choose good titles really, although in some cases the custom titles can be helpful).
XML sitemap plugin can be used instead of SEO plugin.
schema is pretty much dead now.
Safe Redirect Manager is the best for 301 rules management.
not sure what else SEO plugins really do…

GuestI mean,
is an SEO plugin even necessary for an e-commerce site;
most of the time you are using the default product titles right?
so what you really need here is just an XML sitemap plugin.
