GuestIf a cloud provider doesn’t advertise their KVM virtualization then a strong chance they don’t have any KVM.

Guestonly mention of KVM on their website is the “KVM Console”, what is that like VNC?

GuestI’ve never heard of KVM Console 🤔

this.
Also Xen is the only alternative pretty much as good as KVM so unless you’re like Amazon AWS defending using Xen instead of KVM, there’s really no other virtualization as good as KVM these days so most cloud hosting companies should be bragging about having KVM.
if they’re not… they probably don’t offer it ($$)

GuestFYI
Amazon claimed they were going to move to KVM but seems like they’re abandoning that idea and creating their own “private” KVM copycat instead.
(no surprise to anyone who’s been paying attention to AWS and their ever-increasing anti-FOSS monopoly behavior)

“Just be aware that OVH is using OpenVZ whereas both Linode and DO are using KVM. That’s a big difference if it matters to you”
seems this is still accurate.

Guest2024, OVH is advertising KVM like crazy now btw. but I’m not sure if some of their servers are still using OpenVZ, but that project is dead so I hope not. But it’s OVH so I wouldn’t be surprised if they are still running OpenVZ on many of their older servers.
