why are you using Wordfence? doesn’t it require Apache and htaccess not really for Nginx servers?

hello, why did SlickStack disable WordFence

There are several WordPress plugins that SlickStack will disable by default, either because they are malware/spyware type of stuff, or directly conflict with the SlickStack configuration and functionality.

    Blacklisted WordPress Plugins

WordFence and Sucuri are both blacklisted by default because they “hack” core files and conflict with SlickStack’s built-in server-level security features such as rate-limiting of wp-login attempts, blocking XML-RPC DDOS attacks, and such.

Wordfence is better for low-end shared hosting with bad security like cPanel servers and bloated WP themes and websites that never update their plugins and full of bloated code and security holes…

If you use quality and lightweight code and cloud servers or premium type of WP hosting you should not have any necessary for Wordfence guys.

Wordfence adds HUGE amounts of data and tables to your mysql… I know they are open source and not Saas so it makes sense. But holy crap.

Wordfence also discriminates against Russians and disabled the security of their paying customers’ websites in Russia…. trying to simp for the neolibs after Democrats anti-Russian hate campaign in 2022

    Talk about cringe 🤮
