has Pinterest finally banned AI created artwork from being pinned?

    One of my new accounts which featured Midjourney art, only 1 pin posted, account was immediately banned and the domain blacklisted. Despite several support tickets, they will not reactivate it or tell me the reason why. I have to think it’s because the pin I posted was made with Midjourney, it was family safe and very beautiful art. WTF Pinterest.

    early 2024 they completely banned searches for “AI” or “Midjourney” although later reversed course… maybe this is another reversal?

    The funny part is that Pinterest using AI bots to do all their content moderation which is why it is very inconsistent

    Pinterest policy violations system is completely broken and their AI detection is horrible

    I haven’t seen this mentioned anywhere else. Actually the opposite. People had a lot of traffic from AI art in the past.

    so I emailed Pinterest recently to ask this exact question and they told me AI art is totally welcome on their platform. fyi to anyone else wondering this in 2024.

    Getting an account banned instantly over a single AI image is so frustrating, especially when it was completely family-safe! Pinterest moderation can be a total mystery sometimes. It makes you wonder if they are cracking down on synthetic media or just flagging random domains. Honestly, with how strict platforms are getting about automated content, maybe I should just stick to promoting trans ai porn apps instead.
