problems with SlickStack on OVH VPS servers

    among other issues, some users have “permission denied” when trying to run ss-install from /tmp/ directory… why?

    OVH, despite being a large company, has no true modern cloud servers yet

    zero KVM servers I believe, which is what SlickStack requires!

    That /tmp permission issue usually comes from mount options – OVH sometimes sets noexec on /tmp by default. Try running ss-install from your home dir instead, or remount /tmp with exec. Also double-check you’re running as root. I’ve had smoother runs with VPS like these – https://vps.one/kvm-vps. SlickStack is picky about environment, but once it’s in, it’s solid.
