Does SlickStack bundle analytics like Hexometer, etc?

No it doesn’t. This is because there are so many different analytics apps out there, and each team will want something different. There are really no market leaders either, as these apps are changing on a daily basis practically. Plus, our setup assumes you already have Cloudflare setup with free analytics too, which is better than nothing. You can also install free trackers like Statcounter, Google Analytics, etc too.

If those are not enough, you’ll need to customize your SlickStack modules and add a new Ubuntu package for your favorite server analytics script.

P.S. many cloud providers also offer their own stack analytics these days too with data re: CPU, RAM, bandwidth and so forth.

Native Staging Sites (Optional) In Subdirectory

For the past several weeks, SlickStack has been testing our new Staging Site feature and it is now live on all SlickStack installations. If you use another staging service or simply don’t use staging at all and wish to disable staging sites, simply change your ss-config options to be STAGING_SITE=”false” and it will later remove […]

This “hidden file” approach means a cleaner public web root, and less room for attacks and exploits. It uses the Nginx alias feature to point requests to example.com/adminer to the /var/www/meta/adminer.php […]
