best way to regenerate thousands of WordPress media thumbnails

    My client has thousands of media files that they uploaded as super large PNG files, very crazy. I want to make them resized to new dimensions and JPG format.

    Any help is appreciated.

    By the way I know about the free plugin for this. Not sure if that is still the best method or going to crash the server.

    there’s a few different plugins for that, but WP-CLI beats them all
