Guestso I had a client who has a VPS hosting their WordPress site, but not Slickstack, and they have no caching or anything but very small site. like only 3 small photos on the homepage and basic WP theme.
Guess what? Pagespeed says its “47” score (failed) and
– 17.3 secs for Largest Contentful Paint
– 3.5 secs for First Contentful Paint
– 0.47 Cumulative Layout Shift
– 3.7 secs speed indexIt says that if
– properly sized images would save 13.20 secs
– serve images in next-gen format would save 11.40 secs
– eliminate render blocking would save 2.42 secs
– reduce server response time will save 0.63 secsWTF guys
I then checked GTMetrix and the site gets A score, with 98% performance and 88% for structure (because of no caching)
– 847ms Largest Contentful Paint
– 0ms Total Blocking Time
– 0.05 Cumulative Layout ShiftLori
GuestHow can anyone explain that GTmetrix said this site has “Fully Loaded Time” only 1.9 seconds but Google Pagespeed says more than 17 seconds and failed lmao

GuestPagespeed has always been a scam. I swear, it’s like Google’s CEO forced their backend engineers to go out to dinner with some marketing guy, and come up with this s****y ridiculous convoluted tool full of words that nobody understands, for the sole purpose of promoting their overrated WebP image format.

GuestI’ve been a web developer for over a decade, and I can’t understand what in the f**k Pagespeed is talking about, so you’re not alone.
Making something so complicated that nobody understands it is not a sign of intelligence, it’s a sign of being absolutely clueless to user experience.
So yah, makes sense for Google.

GuestUse Gtmetrix or Pingdom. But even Pingdom has gotten pretty bad after Solarwinds acquired it.
