this site was ranking for all kinds of stuff 2 years ago, then it dropped big time and now its back again ranking for every software app
the pages claim to have reviews but there are no reviews anywhere. and half the comparison info is wacky inaccurate

September 3, 2023 at 6:11 pm #7819MatthewGuest>> Alternatives to SlickStack. Terraform, Ansible, Dotenv, Capistrano, and Chef are the most popular alternatives and competitors to SlickStack.

not even close lol
September 3, 2023 at 6:14 pm #7820DianeGuestWho owns Stackshare, they have been rather secretive since the beginning which is weird. They clearly have some money, you don’t get glowing profiles on TechCrunch and s**t (before your app even has any userbase) without serious connections.

520,000 backlinks on Google. This is one of the highest I’ve ever seen
September 3, 2023 at 6:15 pm #7822KathleenGuestdon’t get glowing profiles on TechCrunch
don’t you like how Techcrunch pretends like they don’t accept bribes and everything is ethical journalism when its clearly the exact opposite lol
September 3, 2023 at 6:16 pm #7823BeverlyGuestsounds exactly like the Genius.com corruption
September 4, 2023 at 11:06 pm #7841PeterGuest>> Who owns Stackshare
I checked and this guy named Yonas B. was the founder, tons and tons of articles written about him for it… you’d think Stackshare was the next Google from all the media attention he was able to get.
However, Crunchbase and others now say “Fikile M.” was the founder. But of them are black people with similar looking faces, what is going on?

September 4, 2023 at 11:11 pm #7844SandraGuestbut yah, how the hell did Stackshare get over $7 million in funding? it’s a glorified copycat of Alternative.to software directory

This is part of CNBC Make It’s series on what it’s like to be Black in Silicon Valley. Silicon Valley has long been a culture dominated by white men, with a fraught record of following up on commitments to fix its race problem, from major tech companies that have barely moved their numbers on diversity to a lack of funding for Black founders. Here, CNBC Make It spoke with Black professionals to hear their experiences.
Being a Black founder in Silicon Valley means always carrying the weight of wondering whether your Blackness will affect your success, Yonas Beshawred, the founder and CEO of San Francisco-headquartered tech company StackShare tells CNBC Make It.

> be black
> tell NBC Silicon Valley is racist
> immediately get $7 million in funding for your half-baked software directorySeptember 4, 2023 at 11:16 pm #7847KathleenGuestwell, that was in the middle of the #BlackLivesMatter saga, so.

September 4, 2023 at 11:25 pm #7849WayneGuestCan’t wait for StackShare to shut down in 2025 right after Yonas buys a mansion in Los Angeles and a holiday beach house in Miami.
It was hyped to s**t just like Quora and then overnight everyone stopped using it. Relies entirely on user input (employees revealing their private software decisions, which is probably an security issue for many companies too). There is no way for this site to stay around long-term as some type of VC-funded growth experiement.
Congrats on the grift, bud
