How to use WP Rocket plugin with SlickStack?

    It requires that wp-config.php is writeable however seems SlickStack locks file permissions…

    But why?

    SlickStack has Nginx FastCGI cache already which is much less prone to conflicts and other users can’t mess around or accidentally disable caching…

    What features in WP Rocket do you believe are important?

    It requires that wp-config.php is writeable

    SlickStack makes wp-config.php read-only so that plugins can’t screw up your WordPress configuration or cause problems with SlickStack. I think some other optimized web hosts do this also.

    Anyone who does freelancing knows that your average company has no idea how to manage WordPress let alone cache plugins, and various team members and freelancers constantly login and change settings or disable caching and forget to turn it back on.
