GuestHello is that possible to put more than 1 WordPress site on same IP address cloud server using SlickStack
Denise
GuestSlickStack only installs one WordPress “instance” per server… this means it can be either a WP single site or a WP Multisite network installation.
It doesn’t support multiple single sites on the same server, this was discussed in depth over the past few years and the community decided it was a strong and unique feature that we should preserve for various reasons.
The price of cloud servers keeps dropping, and we want to promote the idea that KVM is a better “container” than e.g. Docker, or whatever other janky solution.

GuestUltimately SlickStack is designed with “money” sites in mind… if your site is important enough, our reasoning is that $5/month for its own cloud server should be well worth it
Arthur
GuestA ton of people asking this question lol

GuestUsers who are looking to save every $$ possible are probably not a good match for SlickStack
anyway 10 years ago the same performance as SlickStack would be costing you hundreds of $$$$ so people obsessed with saving price are not being very reasonable, it’s already amazing quality for cheap cost!

Guesthello,
will SlickStack ever support this
Stephen
Guestwill SlickStack ever support this
Most likely never, also Docker most likely never.
The average business/website owner is very happy to host their site on it’s own SlickStack server, it’s really only agencies trying to save money who keep asking this.
Saving money is great, but SlickStack wants to be the best… it cannot be the best if we support sharing sites on the same server.
Things like file permissions, PHP users, FastCGI cache, security headers… all kinds of features would have to be majorly changed or disabled.

GuestWhat about local business who didn’t know how to manage cloud servers? and agencies it’s too difficult to manage 100 servers…
Kevin
GuestLocal businesses with a single “money” site are actually the best match for SlickStack because you can setup a single cloud server nearby your target audience.
After that it’s just smooth sailing with automatic patches and cron jobs taking care of most maintenance 😀
Terry
Guestso are you guys using SlickStack for your local SEO clients then? how are you convincing them to use a cloud server and not Bluehost/Godaddy
Brandon
GuestSlickStack with WP Multisite actually works great. You can put many sites on the same cloud server this way. And, remote database. Easiest maintenance in the world, use the same WP theme and plugins for all my sites, only 1 server to worry about.
and Remote DO managed database never crashes!!!
