so much conflicting info out there. mostly says Adsense will not work in PWA and your earnings will be zero, esp. if combined with AMP

He said to use AdMob instead.
He said Adsense will also simply not work.

February 3, 2024 at 9:20 pm #11827JordanGuestbut that guy on Reddit was using a Heroku subdomain, and says he was rejected by Adsense cuz he didn’t have any textual content. It’s like a cooking timer app?
February 3, 2024 at 9:24 pm #11828EugeneGuestNitropay was also recommended in the Reddit thread.
“Side note. I started hobby apps w/ Adsense and flipped to Nitropay and quite like it. Revenue went up significantly, not sure if b/c of Nitropay’s ad network or b/c of their ad code. I ran into the problem with Adsense where it was awkward handling ad refreshes on routes in an SPA, and Nitropay’s tags handle that OOTB.”

This is simply wrong. I’m pretty sure it was wrong a few years ago too. AdMob is for native Android apps (or iOS apps), I don’t think it was ever targeting the PWA crowd at any point in history. Like, never.

yes Adsense is fine now for PWA
Mediavine and Media.net also good
Our Verdict
Google AdSense would probably be our default choice to monetize a PWA. If your app is used by developers, Carbon Ads and Ezoic are solid choices to get in front of the right advertisers. For news PWAs, Media.net and Mediavine are good options provided you have a large enough audience.February 4, 2024 at 9:10 am #11842 -
