it’s been a long time coming…..
LittleBizzy has been demanding Matt’s response on this for several years, and took advantage of this week’s drama on Twitter to call him out again. Matt finally admitted publicly that the WordPress Foundation has no employees whatsoever, incredible

I have already, Matt. Please go ahead and name any full-time employees of the WordPress Foundation, besides lawyers or legal aides, right here? I have asked your company to do so for several years already and you have refused. https://t.co/rE1tkTYnXU

September 20, 2023 at 8:47 am #8229ChristianGuestOf course this was after Matt said it was SLANDER to post this about WordPress Foundation, a few hours later he confirms its 100% true.
September 20, 2023 at 8:47 am #8230JackGuesttruly on a role this week Matt
September 20, 2023 at 8:49 am #8231HelenGuestAlso note that WordPress.org quietly added this fact to a page a few months ago, buried deep within their documentation:
Of course, this still makes no sense, since Mullenweg is trying to claim the Foundation has no relation to WordPress.org and is simply in charge of WordCamps.
Confused yet? Yeah, seems to be the entire point!
September 20, 2023 at 8:50 am #8232AaronGuestclassic Mullenweg, classic WordPress.
s**t just gets worse every year, there is no light at the end of the tunnel
September 20, 2023 at 8:55 am #8233MasonGuestRemember this podcast when WP Tavern started deleting half the comments because it definitely did not go the way that Matt expected lmao
September 20, 2023 at 8:58 am #8234SophiaGuestpretty much all of Automattic’s employees are expected to run disinformation gigs on the side as part of their employment.
it’s the open secret of working for Mullenweg
September 20, 2023 at 8:58 am #8235CarlGuestwhat does that have to do with the WordPress foundation???
September 20, 2023 at 9:00 am #8236KimberlyGuestwhat does that have to do with the WordPress foundation???
Because the Foundation itself is a gaslighting op. People think WordPress.org is a non-profit charity and it’s not. It’s run by Automattic employees, or via Matt’s other brand Audrey Capital. WordPress.org asks for donations for the Foundation trying to gaslight people into thinking its ran by the Foundation, but its 100% not.
September 20, 2023 at 9:01 am #8237NicoleGuestwell f**k me Cletis!!
September 20, 2023 at 4:15 pm #8245BrendaGuestIt seems like any time you see the word “Foundation” you should be deeply suspicious of what’s going on (especially if you are actually considering donating money).
For example, the Mozilla Foundation:
https://lunduke.locals.com/post/4387539/firefox-money-investigating-the-bizarre-finances-of-mozilla
I notice that on the home page of the WordPress Foundation they say they are “inspired by” the Mozilla Foundation.
September 21, 2023 at 7:21 am #8249GaryGuestnever knew that about the Mozilla Foundation.
but def. a lot of rich guys in the USA especially who setup Foundations just to give fake “donations” for tax deductions, because it goes back in their pocket.
Trump was doing the same thing. its the American rich guy scam along with s**t like buying s****y art pieces and getting them appraised for 100x more than whatever you paid for it and then donating it to Red Cross and s**t
September 21, 2023 at 7:22 am #8250PhilipGuestI respectfully hold a different perspective on your marketing response, @photomatt. Allow me to provide some insights based on my previous involvement in the community, which, I believe, was rather substantial, although it's open to interpretation.
At Automattic, employees are…
