And then they recently signed a contract with OpenAI to further abuse and betray the programmers and developers who did stick around? And then another wave of users left or deleted all their answers in protest?

The only people left are the most neurotic obsessive sadistic moderators in the history of web forums (yes, worse than Reddit) and a handful of users who are either high karma faggots trying to become mods, or clueless noobs who ask a few vague questions and get immediately censored, flagged, down voted and harassed and then decide to never come back to the platform again

I’m an ex-Stackoverflow member with 18000+ rep (8 years on site).
You are correct. Community went toxic few years ago and is no longer suitable for learning unless you’re interested in “unpopular” languages like prolog or common list – you’ll get sane answers only in this case.
The right time to use stackoverflow was around 2008. At the moment community is only interested in maintaining community rules and not about educating programmers. It is simply not a right place to learn anymore.
Avoid stackoverflow, unless you find an answer on stackoverflow using google search. Use books instead.

The point is who spends thousands of hours and years trying to “moderate” a platform for free that they do not own. Either very strong believers in something, or, very sadistic / autistic types who probably do not have a family or hobbies. Just saying.
