A lot of Twitter users and bloggers have been talking about the “Canva” mobile app but when I tried it was not amazing. Or maybe I was doing something wrong.

Favorite apps or sites for easy logos?

If you have an example design you made it would help!

I used this site a few years ago for a client:

It gave me a great logo, but probably better for simple things. Also there’s a chance the graphics you get are also being used in a lot of other logos already.

Canva app can be a bit confusing. They have an online version too but it’s also confusing, at least for users who are expecting to just input their company name and have 100 ideas generated automatically for them (like the FreeLogoDesign tool linked above).

You have to choose a template first and then customize it. Very high quality designs but requires more playing around.

ehhh, there’s always going to be rich or busy people who just want to pay someone to complete a project and don’t have time to play with logo apps for 3 days.

Canva was Android-only for a long time, the iOS app was released in late 2022 so a lot of people in the design world are just now hearing about it

Midjourney works for logos, but takes a lot of playing around.

the Canva hype confuses me, it really doesn’t seem that impressive, I guess they have a fancy homepage but the functions are just whatever. seems like mostly good marketing effort or big investors behind the project. but til now, results are basic.
