GuestHere’s a good topic. Why should devs consider using a smaller company like RackNerd instead of massive corps like AWS or Google for their cloud servers….

Guestand firstly, where is RackNerd from and their datacenter locations?
last I checked it was Los Angeles only.
a good first datacenter, no doubt, since nearly all clouds fail to serve Los Angeles for whatever reasons, I guess because they figure San Jose or Seattle is good enough for West Coast and that’s where their tech offices are usually. but L.A. tech is rising…

GuestI love their multiple datacenters in L.A. but Utah was also a clever choice, not much competition there.

It’s actually crazy how many clouds neglect Salt Lake City. The Mormons have tons of companies there and it’s very business friendly.

GuestRacknerd is legit, I have used them for several years…Dustin (owner of Racknerd) is a good dude, he’s been around in the webhosting industry forever. I’ve had no issues with the different services I have used with them, one of my servers with them has been up for over 4 years with literally 0 downtime whatsoever, if that tells you anything.
