    Open source is better.

    OceanWP was pretty good before, but they are getting a bit more bloated/spammy now. I also like Kadence theme (without Gutenberg) but their child themes are pretty bloated and seems most of their child themes require Gutenberg which is no-go for me.

    Astra is also pretty solid and free.

    honestly there are lots of WP themes that claim to be fast, but usually they are just bloated junk with affiliate programs that promote them a lot, and that require page builders and then tell you to install a caching plugin like WP Rocket as some magic fix! it’s a joke

    SlickStack + custom WP theme is fastest I had

    Mostly these are just popular themes but not really lightweight. So many free lightweight themes but they’re not doing marketing so you don’t ever hear about it

    HoverCraft is getting better, the homepage video Hero is useful for clients who demand that.

    But it’s going to slow loading a bit, be sure to optimize your .mp4 video file!!

    Avada and Divi, the most bloated themes ever created

    but pretty much anything on ThemeForest is bloated junkware meant to impress boomers with flashy graphics… it’s almost all horrible for security and SEO
