I have a SlickStack server setup by an freelancer but my guys need SFTP login, I don’t know what to tell them. where is that information found, thanks again.

hey OP, please find this easily under:

WP Admin >> SlickStack >> SFTP (tab)

It’s a section that you can see when you login to WP Admin on your WordPress backend, at the top left you should see a SlickStack section that you click and then SFTP tab is visible after you’re inside the SlickStack dashboard area.

Or you can also run this bash command:

ss info

or

ss status

Either of these CLI commands can be run via SSH and you will see the output of current SlickStack settings and includes the SFTP user/password

yep. common question, no idea why. I guess nobody can be bothered to click on the SlickStack dashboard and take a look around at the info….

I think some users assume that SS link is for a WP plugin or whatever. They probably don’t even know what is “SlickStack”

Or, clicking too fast, and didn’t notice SFTP tab

tbh most people shouldn’t need SFTP login if they already have SSH login. and if your freelancer is asking for SFTP it might be a good sign that you should find a better freelancer, usually a red flag when their first question is “SFTP/cPanel login?”
