It seems like a cool idea but Cloudflare has Early Hints, and browsers have their own preloading mechanism and stuff these days

    Flying Pages

    good idea or pointless

Is it using javascript to do this or what exactly?

    Apparently:

“Flying Pages injects a tiny JavaScript code (1KB gzipped), waits until the browser becomes idle. Then it detects pages in the viewport and on mouse hover and preloads them.

Flying Pages is intelligent to make sure preloading doesn’t crash your server or make it slow.”

His various plugins seem clean and good quality, I just don’t think this is worth it because it adds more work to your localhost CPU.

If you really want this type of goofy stuff probably cache-warming is a better idea instead of guessing which links the user is going to click next? Or just use the industry standard hints for web browsers:

I’d avoid anything by the Gijo guy, he’s part of the Litespeed shills

He’s pretty talented. Although a bit surprising he hasn’t evolved past shilling for shared Litespeed hosting by now 💫
