ss optimize database

ss optimize database Runs the SlickStack database optimization routine. ss optimize database What it does Use it to perform the managed database-specific optimization without running file optimization. Notes Back up the database first and avoid treating optimization as a generic repair step. See also: SlickStack Commands.

ss optimize

ss optimize Runs both SlickStack database and file optimization routines. ss optimize What it does Use the broad optimization shortcut only when both areas should be processed. Notes Create verified backups and prefer a narrow optimization command when only one area needs work. See also: SlickStack Commands.

ss clean db

ss clean db Alias for the SlickStack database-cleaning routine. ss clean db What it does This runs the same operation as ss clean database. Notes Database cleaning can remove rows. Create and verify a current database backup before running it. See also: SlickStack Commands.

ss backup

ss backup Runs the remote backup method configured in SlickStack. ss backup What it does This command invokes the managed /var/www/ss-remote-backup workflow to send backup data to the configured off-server destination. ss restart nginx

ss restart nginx Restarts the Nginx service. ss restart nginx What it does Use it after validating a configuration change or when Nginx alone needs recovery. Notes Run sudo nginx -t first so a syntax error does not cause avoidable downtime. See also: SlickStack Commands.

ss restart php

ss restart php Restarts the SlickStack-managed PHP-FPM service. ss restart php What it does Use it after a verified PHP configuration change or when PHP-FPM alone needs recovery. Notes Active PHP requests may be interrupted briefly. See also: SlickStack Commands.

ss restart mysql

ss restart mysql Restarts the MySQL service. ss restart mysql What it does Use it after a verified MySQL configuration change or when MySQL alone requires recovery. Notes A restart briefly interrupts database access; confirm that no critical database operation is running. See also: SlickStack Commands.

ss restart memcached

ss restart memcached Restarts the Memcached service. ss restart memcached What it does This interrupts the in-memory object cache and forces it to warm again. Notes Expect temporarily colder cache performance after the restart. See also: SlickStack Commands.
